
Mr. Emalcus Hield

Emalcus "Marley" Hield is best known for his tough competitive nature as a player. He has proudly represented the Bahamas in numerous world competition; one being the Dunhill Cup. He won the Caribbean Open Golf Championship in 2001 competiting against some of the top players in the Caribbean, Canada, North America and South America. Within that same year, he advanced to the sectional qualifying of the US Open.
In addition to his remarkable playing career, Marley is also a certified Master Golf Instructor, and has been an instructor under two of today's greatest instructors: Butch Harmon- who is ranked number one in the world; and Jim Mclean- who is ranked number three in the world.
Over the span of his teaching career, he has done extensive Junior Golf development in the Bahamas. His teaching technique has propel many of his Junior Golfers to also compete at a very high level representing the Bahamas throughout the Caribbean in both Junior and Senior competitions. Moreover, the skills taught has enabled them to consistently remain ranked in the top ten in the Caribbean. A number of his Juniors athletes also went on to play collegiate golf ; some of whom are still playing at the college level, and others who have graduated and turned professionals.
Marley ultimate goal is to continue to develop players at all skill levels. He is stedfast in his belief that by applying the common denominators of all the great players, a successful development is guaranteed.
